Getting by the Air Manifest Switch-on

Quick guide and tools to help you comply with the mandatory submission of Air Manifests.

In connection with mandatory submission of advance e-manifest and B/L “switch-on” by the Bureau of Customs, please be reminded on your strict compliance to data accuracy standards in airline e-IFM and forwarder e-CCM submission:

1)type of BL in airline e-IFM

  • correct data is “HBL”

2)gross weight in both airline e-IFM and forwarder e-CCM

  • correct data is gross weight in kilos
  • incorrect data is chargeable weight

3)B/L nature code in e-IFM and e-CCM

  • Correct data is “24” if importer/consignee PEZA and Clark/Subic Freeport registered enterprise
  • Important note:  PEZA and Freeport registered importers are reminded to instruct your foreign-based shippers and service contractors during cargo e-booking to inform the airline and forwarder agents on this mandatory PH Customs system requirement.

4) How to correct B/L Nature

  • Request for modification of nature of BL in the Office of the Deputy Collector for Operations (Get form from MISTG 3/F, NAIA Customs house)
  • Once approved, inform the airline or the forwarder to submit amended BL
  • How to submit amended BL ? encode  new AWB with BL Reference number with suffix “A” , for example:
    • Original: AWB# 1234 with nature of BL code = 23;
    • Amended: AWB# 1234A with nature BL code = 24), then use AWB# 1234 as the master AWB
